**NOTE 2020+ JEEP/RAM ECO DIESELS MAY REQUIRE A PCM MODIFICATION SERVICE TO UNLOCK THE PCM BEFORE TUNING**

**WARNING** 2018+ NEED SPECIAL SGM Bypass cable on the 2018 + eco diesels. Without a bypass cable, you will not be able to successfully tune your truck.  

MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING THE VCM SUITE BETA VERSION AND ALSO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO UPDATES BY CLICKING HELP AND THEN ABOUT ON THE VCM EDITOR (BETA) WINDOW.

MOST ECO DIESEL'S NEED A PATCH FILE TO BE FLASHED INTO THE PCM BEFORE BEING ABLE TO GET A FULL STOCK READ FILE, AS SOON AS YOU GO TO READ OUT THE STOCK FILE, IT WILL PROMPT YOU TO DO THE FOLLOWING:

Step 1: Connect to the truck with HPTuners and open VCM Editor (BETA) on your computer.

Step 2: Go to Take a stock read of the truck, it will then give the following prompt

Step 3: It will ask to create a patch file which it will also ask you to save do so and save it as _MOD.hpt or whatever you like.

Step 4: Flash in the patch file that you saved, then you will be able to get a consistent read afterwards. To close out of the patch file to get the stock read, look at the top left of the VCM editor window and you will see a folder that when you hover over it with your mouse will say: "CLOSE", click that and then read out the stock file and attach it to this order.
To flash the controllers (ECM and TCM) HPTuners requires credits for the ECM and for the TCM. You must have the credits in order to flash the controller. If you already have enough credits and do not require anymore then you purchase just the tune without the credits, and vice versa.

14-19 EcoDiesel ECM Requires 4 credits

20-23 EcoDiesel ECM Requires 6 credits

EcoDiesel TCM Requires 4 credits

We can add the exhaust brake to any tune as well.

For the trans tune we are increasing line pressure, moving the shift points slightly to take advantage of the added power and reworking torque converter unlock and lockup.
