Important Notes: This service is only required for select powersports models with the MG1 ECM. Please confirm model before purchasing. Customers are required to have the BRP or Polaris/Indian OBDII Adapter Cable for tuning. This service is not compatible with Honda powersports models. ECMs with broken “LOCKING” tabs or connectors WILL NOT be accepted for upgrades.
MG1 Service Explained
This one-time upgrade service is required to activate tuning capabilities for MG1 ECM-equipped models. To begin, you’ll need to remove your MG1 ECM and ship it to our headquarters, where it will be professionally upgraded for compatibility with HP Tuners’ VCM Suite software. This allows full access to diagnostics, tuning, and logging directly through the diagnostics port using the appropriate OBDII Adapter Cable.
Everything you need to tune your MG1 ECM-equipped powersports machine with HP Tuners:
- This one-time, send-in Powersports MG1 ECM Service (upgrade service).
- Select your “Vehicle Manufacturer” using the dropdown above.
- Select the current “Calibration Type” using the dropdown above.
- An MPVIx device: Please verify what generation MPVIx device your powersports model is compatible with in the list above before purchasing. For models that require MPVI3 or MPVI4 only:
- Purchase a new MPVI4.
- All supported Powersports machines also require an OBDII Adapter Cable.
- Polaris and Indian models require the Polaris/Indian OBDII Adapter Cable.
- BRP models require the BRP OBDII Adapter Cable.
- Download the latest version of VCM Suite BETA for free.
- Once upgraded, purchase the required number of Universal Credits to license your machine.

Important: Customers are required to have the BRP, Polaris, or Indian OBDII Adapter Cable for tuning. This service is not compatible with Honda powersports models.
